When I founded SIR Home Improvements in 1980, I knew that delivering high-quality home renovation work would require more than great products and great salespeople. It would take organized, focused professionals behind the scenes to make sure every project runs smoothly from start to finish. That’s where you come in.

We’re currently looking for a Project Manager to join our team in Portage, Michigan. This is a full-time position for someone who brings construction experience, attention to detail, and a passion for customer service. You’ll be a key part of our production process responsible for reviewing job sites, taking measurements, estimating material and labor needs, coordinating with our contractors, and making sure every homeowner ends their project with a smile.

You’ll be hands-on, organized, and solution-focused. This is not a sales role. It’s for someone who thrives on planning, accuracy, and ensuring a job is done right. You must be located in or willing to relocate to Portage, MI, where all field and operations coordination takes place.

Here’s what we’re looking for

Prior construction or building experience

Experience using a tape measure and reading job specs

A detail-oriented personality with strong organizational skills

The ability to stay calm under pressure and resolve conflicts professionally

Someone who can lead with integrity, stay flexible, and keep safety top of mind

Excellent communication skills and a team-focused mindset

Here’s what you’ll do

Communicate daily with the production teams

Visit job sites to take accurate measurements and document all project details

Meet with customers to walk through their home improvement plans

Prepare contractor offers and conduct pre-install meetings

Inspect completed jobs for quality and address any follow-up needs

Ensure every visit and task is done promptly and professionally

Contribute to a high-functioning team and take initiative wherever needed

Compensation and Benefits

Full-time position located in Portage, MI

Annual pay between 52000 and 58000 depending on experience
