Role Summary:
Quantum Signal AI, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Talent Manager to join our People Operations team. You’ll play a pivotal role in developing, assessing, and growing our multi-disciplinary team. Collaborating closely with our management, you'll support solution-focused engineering teams to deliver value, foster diverse perspectives, and create an inclusive working environment. This role involves maintaining and enhancing existing HR processes, identifying opportunities for employee improvement, and contributing to various projects and initiatives, ensuring an engaged and productive team. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional interpersonal skills and a commitment to cultivating a culture of excellence. Location:
We are located in Saline, Michigan. This position is in-person to encourage a culture of collaboration and mentorship.
What You’ll Do:
Performance Management and Employee Relations
- Partner with management to design, execute, and promote programs and initiatives that contribute to organizational excellence such as performance management, talent reviews, promotions, job evaluations and talent assessments
- Act as a trusted partner for employees to ensure they can address concerns or issues in an objective and equitable manner while also balancing the needs of the business
- Facilitate and manage an annual performance cycle process and bi-annual merit increase program, including communicating ratings and compensation changes
- Improve both manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems and coaching them to successful outcomes
- Counsel and support managers regarding Performance Improvement Plans and investigations, as well as partner with management in handling all aspects of employee separations
Employee Engagement and Retention
- Utilize a data-driven approach to develop, initiate, and maintain effective programs to drive engagement, retention, and a positive employee experience
- Conduct check-ins for the purposes of gauging team-wide sentiment and well-being, identifying needs/gaps in support, and understanding opportunities for alignment between employee growth interests and organizational objectives
- Develop, implement and analyze employee surveys. Work with the leadership team and managers to develop responses to address survey results
- Develop and promote events and activities that encourage employee engagement and wellness
- Support employee lifecycle activities such as onboarding of new hires, facilitating 30- and 90-day onboarding check-ins, internships, and exit interviews
- Make recommendations and coach managers
Compensation and Benefits
- Develop and maintain a compensation and benefits strategy and policy
- Maintain all compensation-related documentation and data
Talent Strategy
- Define talent program success metrics that support company performance, evaluate and document results, and ensure consistent application across the organization
- Provide feedback to management on the effectiveness of initiatives and sentiment within the company to help drive change which balances the benefit to the team and meets the objectives of the company
- Review and maintain HR policies and procedures and make recommendations based on trends from external benchmarking
Talent Development
- Manage all aspects of the Professional Development program, including application processing and budget.
- HR Team Collaboration
- Support the People Operations team and operate as a back-up to our Benefits and HR Compliance Specialist and Recruiting Coordinator
- Maintain talent manager desk procedures for appropriate backup and team support
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus on Human Resources or any other related discipline
- Knowledge and experience across all aspects of HR including performance management, employee engagement, employee coaching/counseling, compensation planning, learning and development, organization development, and recruitment
- Experience delivering HR process improvements and/or changing management efforts, ability to work autonomously
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in related HR role
- Strong written and oral communication skills
