Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and entrepreneurial Business Development Intern to support our client acquisition efforts. This commission-based internship is ideal for someone with a strong interest in real estate, construction, marketing, or sales who is looking to gain hands-on experience and earn performance-based compensation.

The ideal candidate will identify and generate leads, build local relationships, and contribute to expanding our client base in targeted markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage with potential clients in the residential and commercial construction space
  • Generate and qualify new leads through outreach (email, phone, social media, networking)
  • Research and build lists of high-potential contacts and partnerships (homeowners, investors, developers, designers, realtors)
  • Help schedule and coordinate introductory calls or walkthroughs with prospective clients
  • Collaborate with internal team to tailor messaging and strategies by target client type
  • Track outreach, conversations, and conversion data
  • Attend occasional local networking events (if applicable)

Compensation Structure

  • This is a commission-only internship
  • You will receive a commission for each qualified lead that converts into a signed contract
  • Bonus opportunities for top performers and referrals that lead to strategic partnerships

Who You Are

  • A self-starter who thrives in a goal-driven, flexible environment
  • Currently pursuing or recently graduated from a degree in Business, Marketing, Construction, Real Estate, or a related field
  • Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and persuasion skills
  • Comfortable with outreach, cold communication, and building rapport
  • Organized, responsive, and results-oriented
  • Passionate about learning and growing in the construction and business development space
