Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and entrepreneurial Business Development Intern to support our client acquisition efforts. This commission-based internship is ideal for someone with a strong interest in real estate, construction, marketing, or sales who is looking to gain hands-on experience and earn performance-based compensation.
The ideal candidate will identify and generate leads, build local relationships, and contribute to expanding our client base in targeted markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and engage with potential clients in the residential and commercial construction space
- Generate and qualify new leads through outreach (email, phone, social media, networking)
- Research and build lists of high-potential contacts and partnerships (homeowners, investors, developers, designers, realtors)
- Help schedule and coordinate introductory calls or walkthroughs with prospective clients
- Collaborate with internal team to tailor messaging and strategies by target client type
- Track outreach, conversations, and conversion data
- Attend occasional local networking events (if applicable)
Compensation Structure
- This is a commission-only internship
- You will receive a commission for each qualified lead that converts into a signed contract
- Bonus opportunities for top performers and referrals that lead to strategic partnerships
Who You Are
- A self-starter who thrives in a goal-driven, flexible environment
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated from a degree in Business, Marketing, Construction, Real Estate, or a related field
- Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and persuasion skills
- Comfortable with outreach, cold communication, and building rapport
- Organized, responsive, and results-oriented
- Passionate about learning and growing in the construction and business development space
