*** ACCOUNTANT*** (Long Island, NY) 

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Western Nassau County CPA firm seeks a full time staff Accountant with 1 - 2 years of experience preferred for immediate hire. This position requires familiarity with the following skills:

1) Computer knowledge of:
a. QuickBooks
b. Tax Preparation Software
c. MS Excel
d. MS Word
e. MS Outlook

2) Professional knowledge of:
a. Payroll taxes
b. Sales taxes
c. Corporate taxes
d. Partnership, LLC, LLP taxes
e. Individual taxes

The successful candidate should also demonstrate the following:

1) self-motivation
2) work independently
3) handle confidential information with discretion
4) willing to work an expanded schedule during tax seasons

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
* Salary based on experience.

Physical Setting:

  • Office

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday (Saturdays during tax season)

Supplemental Pay:

  • Bonus pay

  • Island Park, NY 11558: Reliable commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
