Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Intern to join our team. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of Human Resources, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, training and development, HR compliance, and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with HR data confidentiality
- Support HR team with daily administrative tasks and special projects as assigned
- Assist with the full-cycle recruitment process, including posting job openings and scheduling interviews
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparation of new hire paperwork and exit documentation
- Assist in employee engagement activities
- Conduct research on HR best practices, labor laws, and organizational development trends
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives
- Other duties as needed
What You'll Learn

Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources or a related field
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources or Organizational Development
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with HRIS systems is a plus
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tasks
- High attention to detail, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Willingness to take initiative and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment
This position will be 30 hours per week, fully onsite, at our Chicago office located in the vibrant Pilsen neighborhood—a hub of culture, art, and activism.
