Graphic Design Intern - Summer 2025

Pella’s Product Marketing Graphic Design Intern will be supporting the design and maintenance of tactics across product touchpoints – online and offline. Working under the direction of the Product Marketing Graphic Designer, they will help to support a range of marketing initiatives.

 

A successful Product Marketing Graphic Design Intern will thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing and prioritizing concurrent projects. In close partnership with the Product Marketing Graphic Designer and Technical Publication Specialists, this position will collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Architectural Solutions and Product Marketing to bring clear and concise information to market. An eye for design is required and a thorough understanding of good layouts utilizing typography, photography, charts and graphs.

Responsibilities

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

While the responsibilities may vary slightly, the position will likely include varying levels of the following activities. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Creates and/or updates designs and content across multiple mediums, tailoring visuals for various audiences. As applicable, develops/refines concepts in existing materials.
  • Selects and prepares photography, renderings, graphics, etc for online/offline publishing.
  • Ensures new and existing publications follow brand and product standards.
  • Manages production timelines, reviews and production schedules to meet project deadlines.
  • Understands industry requirements for file prep, process and communication.
  • Ability to nurture collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design preferred.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS 

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS 

Ability to assess and track budgets. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

REASONING ABILITY 

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS 

In-depth knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Familiarity with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Robohead is helpful.
