Creative Tots, a boutique preschool in Madeira, is hiring Assistant Teachers for the 2025–2026 school year. Positions are available in our Toddler, Preschool, Preschool Prep, and K Prep classrooms.

What You’ll Do:

Support lead teachers in delivering fun, purposeful learning experiences in a structured classroom setting

Help implement hands-on activities, art projects, songs, and play-based learning routines

Assist with classroom transitions, snack time, outdoor play, and clean-up

Build warm, positive connections with children and guide them through social and emotional growth

Maintain a safe and engaging environment where young children can thrive

Work collaboratively with your teaching team to support the daily rhythm of the classroom

Whether you're looking for morning hours, afternoon support, or a fuller part-time week—we can help customize a role that works for you.

K Prep Assistant Teacher

Monday–Friday, 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM

Preschool Assistant Teacher

Tuesday–Thursday, 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM

Preschool Prep Assistant Teacher

Monday/Wednesday/Friday, 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM

Toddler Assistant Teacher Options

Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM

Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM

Monday/Wednesday/Friday, 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM + Tuesday/Thursday, 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM (combined schedule)

School Year: August 2025 – May 2026
Summer Requirement: All staff are required to teach one week of summer programming (your choice of week). Additional summer work is available across all 7 weeks.
Starting Pay: $15/hour

Prior experience working with young children (classroom, babysitting, nannying, camps, etc.)

A kind, patient, and positive attitude

A team player who is reliable, energetic, and ready to jump in

Strong communication and flexibility in a dynamic preschool setting

Commitment to showing up consistently and on time—our students count on you!

Bonus Points For:

Coursework or degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field

Enthusiasm for hands-on, creative projects and messy play
