Student Assistantship – User Interface and User Experience Design

The Position
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented student assistant to support our User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with our business analysts and solution architects to create engaging and user-friendly interfaces primarily using Figma. This role requires a passion for design, an eye for aesthetics, and an understanding of user-centered design principles. The candidate should be enthusiastic about collaborating with cross-functional teams and contributing to the development of innovative digital solutions.
The student assistants responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Collaborating with business analysts and solution architects to create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs in Figma. Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights that inform design decisions and improve user experiences. Design user interfaces that are visually appealing, intuitive, and accessible for a wide range of users. Iterate on designs based on feedback from team members and stakeholders. Assist in creating and maintaining design guidelines and documentation to ensure consistency across platforms. Stay updated on design trends, tools, and best practices to enhance design quality and innovation. Support the team in preparing design presentations and workshops, showcasing design concepts and solutions. Work closely with developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs across various digital products.
This role is offered as a part-time working opportunity for students currently enrolled at an accredited college or university. The estimated duration of this assignment is a minimum of 6 months working approximately 15-20 hours per week, with a flexible schedule to accommodate academic commitments.
Physical Requirements

Qualifications
- Must be currently attending an accredited four-year college or university pursuing a Masters degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related discipline.
- Interest in user-centered design principles and a passion for creating exception user experiences.
- Proficiency in Figma and familiarity with other design tools is preferred.
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and web development principles is a plus.
- Competent Microsoft Office Suite skills required.
- Ability to be a self-starter and work independently.
- Strong attention to detail required.
- Ability to work in a high-volume setting that requires a sense of immediacy, with demonstrated ability to manage competing demands, receive constructive feedback, and maintain adaptability and flexibility.
- Strong organizational, time management and process/program management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task/complete competing priorities on time.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills necessary to effectively work with hiring managers, early talent hires and candidates.
