Extension Summer Internship

CENTRAL STATE UNIVERSITY
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position: Extension Summer Internship - Seed to Bloom Botanical Garden
Job Summary:
This is a student position (May 10 – July 25, 2025) working with the Extension Staff to create virtual and interactive school/youth/group programs at the Seed-to-Bloom Botanical and Community Garden.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist with the technical design/implementation of virtual garden tours and activities for students/youth/groups.
• Assist Extension staff with design/teach program activities to build positive learning experiences for visitors.
• Aid other facilitators during programs as necessary.
• Any other assigned duties
Work Environment:
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds and walk over uneven ground.
• At times, will be outside in the weather, including heat and rain when assisting with programs.
• Shared office space at Emery Hall
• Follow University and Seed to Bloom Botanical Garden policies
Requirements
• Will need to pass a background check in order to work with minor children.
• Working knowledge of PowerPoint, TEAMS, Zoom, other software programs, etc.
• Must be able to work unsupervised at times and able to follow directions.
