We're looking for an organized and motivated Project Manager Intern to help coordinate and streamline our efforts.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Manager Intern to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of our mobile application project. You will work closely with the development, design, and testing teams to ensure tasks are completed on time and meet quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Define the project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with the team.
  • Break down the project into tasks and milestones and assign them to respective team members.
  • Set up and manage project management tools (e.g., Trello, Asana, or Jira) to track progress and ensure transparency.
  • Monitor the project's progress and ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, to ensure alignment across the team.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the team and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication.
  • Identify potential risks or roadblocks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain documentation for project plans, timelines, and updates.
  • Ensure that team members adhere to agile practices and methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between developers, designers, and QA testers.
  • Provide weekly project updates to stakeholders, summarizing progress, risks, and next steps.

Requirements

  • Project Management Tools: Familiarity with tools like Trello, Asana, Jira, or similar for task management and tracking.
  • Agile Methodologies: Basic understanding of Scrum, Kanban, or other agile frameworks.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders effectively.
  • Organization: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain documentation.
  • Time Management: Strong skills in creating timelines and ensuring milestones are met.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify project risks or bottlenecks and propose solutions.
  • Collaboration: Experience working with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and testers.
  • Basic Technical Knowledge: Understanding of software development processes and familiarity with tools like GitHub for tracking development progress.

Preferred Skills (Bonus Points!)

  • Familiarity with mobile app development processes for iOS and Android.
  • Experience managing projects involving OAuth, payment gateway integration, or database management (e.g., MongoDB Atlas, Firebase).
  • Knowledge of tools like Slack or similar for team communication.
  • Experience with sprint planning and managing agile workflows.
  • Awareness of QA testing processes and how they fit into the project lifecycle.
  • Basic knowledge of version control tools like Git and GitHub.
