CAD Design Technician

The Buildable Companies is seeking a highly collaborative and entry level CAD design technician to support our hospitality development and facility management services. As the CAD design technician, you will be responsible for a multitude of CAD based tasks across several of our brands. This position will use CADLT to provide initial design and layout guidance for our clients and internal space planning needs. These concepts are the critical first step in the conceptual layout of our clients’ space The Buildable Companies are a family of complimentary fractional project management partners in the hospitality industry. Our core businesses, Buildable Group and Facility Command provide services to over 3,000 restaurants every year. With over 150 unique clients, including Krispy Kreme, Buffalo Wild Wings, Taco Bell, McDonald’s, and Dutch Bros Coffee, we have touched 15,000 unique storefronts and have managed over $100,000,000 of new restaurant development or remodels. What you will be doing: 

• Perform design tasks associated with conceptual space planning and layouts. 

• Using client’s test fit design blocks and available as-built drawings, create schematic designs during the due diligence phase of lease negotiations. 

• Work directly with the client during schematic design phase to ensure that their space planning and equipment needs will fit in the potential space. 

• Designing, revising and drawing shop drawings as required for millwork specifications. 

• Occasionally complete equipment layouts and specification collection for submission to jurisdictional review. 

• Provide creative solutions, advice and feedback on spatial design and planning. 

Your Qualifications: 

• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

• Ability to work independently or with internal company or external team members. 

• Professional communication and presentation to internal and external parties. 

• Familiarity using Microsoft Office products (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
