
Emergency Communications Center Coordinator
Chippewa County is now accepting applications for experienced and dedicated individuals to join our team as an Emergency Communications Center Coordinator. If you have a background in a Telecommunication/911 Center and a passion for public safety, we invite you to apply for this vital leadership role. As a Coordinator, you will help supervise day-to-day operations within the Chippewa County Emergency Communications Center (ECC), working alongside a highly skilled team that delivers essential emergency and non-emergency services to our community. The ECC is the central hub for dispatching all law enforcement, EMS, and fire services across Chippewa County. Key responsibilities: oversee and support staff during assigned shifts, ensure smooth operation of communication systems and protocols, and coordinate with public safety agencies for effective response and service delivery. The position is required to work 12-hour shifts (6 AM – 6 PM or 6 PM – 6 AM) which includes weekends and holidays.
**CURRENT Shift Opening is Nights, 6 PM to 6 AM. Nights include shift differential of $1.00 per hour. Shifts: Days, 6 am – 6 pm and Nights, 6 PM – 6 AM.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Minimum of two (2) years recent, full-time experience in a Telecommunication/911 Center required. CPR Certification , Emergency Medical Dispatch Certification, and Time System Certification is required within one (1) year of hire. A valid driver’s license a cell phone is required. Starting Wage: $27.59 - $29.99 per hour depending on qualifications PLUS an excellent fringe benefit package. Maximum Wage: $35.99 per hour. Night Shift: Includes shift differential of $1.00 per hour.
