Graphic Design Intern

eLocal, part of Brookfield Asset Management, is a fast-growing and profitable national leader in pay-for-performance digital advertising. eLocal connects millions of local consumers each year to the businesses they need, when they need them. We are currently looking for a Graphic Design Intern to join our team remotely from anywhere in the US.

 

As a Graphic Design Intern at eLocal, you’ll gain hands-on experience working on a wide range of real-world projects that impact our brand and business directly. Responsibilities:

  • Produce quality design work and assist in the creation of an array of digital assets including branding materials, presentations, social media graphics, web designs, A/B tests, and other assets as needed
  • Adhere to brand guidelines and complete projects according to deadlines
  • Collaborate with the Senior Graphic Designer to develop design concepts, applying and providing feedback to evolve the work
  • Be vocal in review and brainstorming sessions, show confidence in design decisions
  • Assist with preparing, designing, and creating art files for production
  • Other related responsibilities as needed

 

Requirements:

  • Current college sophomore, junior, or senior majoring in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field
  • Proficient knowledge of layouts, typography, hierarchy, composition, color, and other graphic design principles
  • Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, and Figma/Sketch (or equivalent web design program)
  • Strong creative and conceptual skills with the desire to learn more about marketing and design
  • Understanding of responsive web design fundamentals
  • Ability to retouch and manipulate images as needed
  • Compelling portfolio or samples of graphic and digital work (portfolio examples will be requested during the interview process)
  • Experience with animation and other CC programs such as Animate, Premiere, and Lightroom are a plus
  • Must be adaptable to changing priorities
  • Flexible design style and willingness to take direction
