What We’re Looking For 

We’re seeking motivated and detail-oriented editorial interns to join our team for Summer 2025. Ideal candidates will have a strong interest in beauty and wellness business writing and be eager to contribute to an influential voice in the beauty industry. This internship is hybrid, with a preference for candidates based in New York City. Interns will receive $50 per published article. This internship can potentially provide college credit through arrangements with your college or university.

 

What You'll Do

  • Support the editorial team by rewriting and adapting press releases into editorial content with added context and clarity.
  • Conduct background research to support reported stories, trend coverage, and industry news.
  • Monitor industry news and trends to pitch story ideas or support developing stories.
  • Join editorial meetings and contribute ideas to BeautyMatter’s evolving coverage.
     

Requirements:

  • Strong writing and communication skills with an eye for clean, concise copy.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Familiarity with AP Style (or a willingness to learn).
  • Interest in the business of beauty, consumer trends, and innovation across the beauty industry.
  • Experience with or interest in beauty and wellness journalism.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive); experience with Airtable is a plus.
