Supervisor in Training

Merchology seeks a Supervisor in Training to join our Operations team. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Supervisor in Training is a critical role that is responsible for overseeing team performance to successfully meet company cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
A successful Supervisor in Training will:
- Take ownership and accountability for all safety and quality incidents within your area of responsibility.
- Understand how to conduct individual and team performance feedback and coaching conversations.
- Understand how to interview and evaluate applicants for open positions.
- Participant in hiring peak season staffing, interviews, training, and onboarding.
- Identify problems, develop solutions, and suggest changes when necessary.
- Support the tracking and communication of key area metrics to team and stakeholders.
- Support project improvements across facilities and departments.
- Understand and support attendance recordkeeping and documentation.
- Work positively within and across departments to gather information needed to make decisions and support overall success on the company.
- Take corrective action and work with other Supervisors and Managers on any disciplinary decisions.
- Crosstrain in all areas to support various teams in the absence of the Supervisor/Manager.
- Be prepared to take on a leadership opening in any department or shift.
- Inspire, influence, and guide others to participate in common goals.
- Learn and implement EOS structure and principles for everyday success.
- Foster a culture centered around Merchology’s Core Values - exhibit Servant Leadership ideologies while coaching employees for success.
- Additional projects or duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to stand for 7-9 hours per day.
- Previous leadership experience or education
- Detail oriented, organized, and accurate
- Positive attitude and team leadership
- Intermediate skills and knowledge
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds repeatedly.
- Ability to read and understand basic English instruction (colors, left/right)
- Excellent employee relations skills and ability to lead in a team setting
- Excellent ability to make decisions
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working in a manufacturing setting
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Previous knowledge of sewing and embroidery machines
