Akron Community Internship: Downtown Akron Partnership Small Business Marketing Intern

Position Title:  Small Business Marketing Akron Community Internship 

Position Summary:
Interns will work with Downtown Akron Partnership staff in communications and business relations to assist small businesses in the downtown district with their marketing and communications efforts.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Review DAP, Lock 3 and City social media and downtown business social media.
  • Meet with DAP & Lock 3 marketing team, discuss ways to connect small businesses to marketing and programming efforts, beyond social media.
  • Work with businesses to create content, press releases, make reels, try new communications tools, etc.
  • Find ways to create marketing efforts around collaborative ways businesses can support each other and find new audiences.
  • Help with photography of products and business locations.
  • Assist in developing strategies to engage UA students in fall programming.
  • Photograph available retail and office space for LOIS property listing.
  • Other DAP support duties as assigned.

Project Timeline: 

  • Fall 2025 | 100 hours | Off-campus (exact dates TBD to accommodate student schedules)
