Quality Control Intern
Zesty Paws is seeking a motivated Quality Control Intern to join our Quality Assurance team. This hands-on role supports sample inspection, product quality verification, and documentation activities. It offers valuable experience in a dynamic, fast-paced quality assurance environment, ideal for candidates pursuing a career in quality control, manufacturing, or operations. This is an on-site position located less than a mile from the University of Central Florida's Campus
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, label, and document product sample retains.
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to ensure products meet established specifications.
- Verify labeling accuracy on all product sample retains.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and related documentation.
- Clearly and promptly communicate inspection findings and quality concerns to the team.
- Securely pack retain samples for transportation and properly label all boxes with contents and destruction dates.
- Accurately document product destruction when required.
- Work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Lift and handle boxes weighing between 35–40 pounds.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Quality, Food Science, animal science, or related fields (preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to grammar and professionalism
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 40 pounds.
