COMMUNICATIONS AND ADMINISTRATIVE INTERNSHIP

Join Tonality as a Social Media and Communications Intern and embark on a transformative journey from June 2, 2025, to March 1, 2026. This internship is provided through the Los Angeles County Department of Arts & Culture*.
*2025 Arts Internship positions will be open to currently enrolled undergraduate students (2- or 4-year) and community college students who reside in or attend college in Los Angeles County. Recent graduates may apply if they have completed their degree between May 1 and December 1, 2025. The Department of Arts and Culture encourages eligible students from all ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds, as well as students with disabilities, to apply. Eligible students may participate in the program only once.
Interns must complete 400 hours of work between June 2, 2025, and March 1, 2026.
Interns are paid $7,148.00 for the 400-hour internship ($17.87 per hour).
While this internship is primarily remote, interns are expected to attend pre-scheduled Wednesday night rehearsals and Saturday or Sunday pre-scheduled performances.
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in social media platforms and content creation tools. Passion for diversity, social justice, and the arts. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Creative mindset with an eye for visual design. Basic knowledge of analytics and data reporting. Previous experience in social media management or communications is a plus.
BACKGROUND
Tonality sings to inspire, innovate, and spark social change through the power of diversity. Tonality's concerts delve into pertinent societal justice issues through deliberate choices of music and text. Most of our compositions are commissioned by living composers, with an emphasis on women and composers of color.
