Resident Venture Marketing Intern

The Resident Venture Marketing Intern will support community and student ventures participating in the StarTUp Summer Accelerator. This role involves collaborating with early-stage startups to design or refine logos, branding kits, and pitch decks, as well as providing creative input and feedback on digital marketing strategies to strengthen each venture’s brand.  

The ideal candidate is passionate about design, innovation, and entrepreneurship, and is excited to contribute to the success of emerging startups through strong visual storytelling and brand development. 

Qualifications include, but are not limited to:  

Education  

  • Enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at Towson University  
  • Available to work and support the Accelerator programming in June, July, and August 
  • Available to attend the Accelerator September Showcase  
  • Preferred skills and experiences include social media management, graphic design, and marketing.

  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office software 
  • Experience working in Canva or Adobe Express

  • Able to prioritize to meet deadlines. 

 

Responsibilities include (but shall not be limited to): 

  • Create project plans and execute those plans in a timely manner.  
  • Able to make branding and design recommendations. 
  • Collaborating with startup ventures to ensure that designs accurately reflect the brand's desired image and messaging. 
  • Design and create Founder(s) pitch decks using an iterative based process based on feedback and evolving insights.  
  • Communicate with team members in-person and through digital platforms. 
  • Support building technical support needs. 
  • Support building daily opening and/or closing operations as needed.
