At Slim Pickings, we're excited to invite a social media intern to join our dynamic team. This internship opportunity offers hands-on experience in various facets of the fashion industry. The selected intern will contribute to our social media marketing initiatives, amplifying our brand presence across multiple platforms. They'll also assist in orchestrating fashion photoshoots, ensuring a visually appealing presentation of our merchandise. Additionally, the intern will play a pivotal role in organizing our monthly vendor marketplace events, fostering relationships with vendors and creating engaging experiences for our clientele.

We seek individuals passionate about fashion, social media, and event coordination, offering them an immersive learning environment to hone their skills and make a meaningful impact in the fashion retail landscape. This internship provides a unique chance to work closely with industry professionals, gain invaluable insights, and contribute creatively to the growth and success of Slim Pickings.

DURATION:

90 days probationary period

All interns must reside or attend an institution within 50 miles of Nashville, TN.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

• Enthusiasm for fashion and an interest in the women’s fashion market.
• 4 social media post per week using the brand guide and marketing strategy.
• Create copy and unique social media post that are aligned with the brand.
• Create 2 newsletters per month and post to flodesk.

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience with Google Suite, Adobe, Canva, Lightroom and social media. (i.e., TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
• Strict and accurate adherence to company’s policies and systems.
• Time management and prioritization skills.
• Team player, able to take direction and run with it.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks to meet strict deadlines.
• Proactive work style with the ability to work autonomously.
• Strong adaptability to situations and ever-changing demands.
• A calm and flexible approach to handling pressure and stress.
• Build excellent relationships with teams through positive communications.
• Comfortable interacting with individuals of all levels and providing input and guidance as needed.
• Own a laptop.

Compensation:

This internship provides a stipend of $250 per month.
