Elementary Intervention Specialist

Start Date:  August 2025
Salary:   Dependent on experience and level of education
Report to:  Jon Peterson Scholarship Coordinator

Hours:   Full-Time

Qualifications: 
• Proper license or permit by the State of Ohio or equivalent 
• Association of Christian School International (ACSI) certification or have a willingness to work toward certification
• Has a strong testimony of relationships/faith with Jesus Christ
• Agree with Mansfield Christian’s statement of faith and core values
• Understand and support the mission and purpose of Christian education
• Demonstrate exemplary interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to supplement and support the classroom teacher in the area of instruction
• Familiar with special education best practices regarding services plan creation, specially designed instruction, progress monitoring, and progress reporting
• Ability to conduct service plan meetings with professionalism and efficiency
• Confident in classroom-based intervention strategies

● Familiar with the Response to Intervention process (RTI) and collaborating in the process
● Familiar with special education programs and law compliance and/or willing to learn
 

Responsibilities:

● Knows special education best practices regarding IEP creation, progress monitoring, trials, and progress reporting
● Able to conduct IEP meetings with professionalism and efficiency
● Show proficiency and confidence in classroom-based intervention strategies
● Demonstrate familiarity with special education programs and law compliance and/or willingness to learn

Terms:
• 12-month contract renewable for the 2026-2027 school year and beyond
