Financial Analyst

The Marcus Family Office (Atlanta, GA) is seeking a dedicated Family Office Financial Analyst to join our team. This is a full-time, on-site position with no remote or hybrid work option.

In this role, the Financial Analyst will support the financial operations of our family office, including updating portfolio performance reports, managing budgets, tracking cash flow, and assisting with financial close and planning tasks. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical professional with strong financial acumen, keen attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

Portfolio Performance Reporting: Update and review portfolio performance reports to monitor investment returns and asset allocation, providing insights and recommendations as needed.

Budgeting: Create and manage budgets for various entities and projects, ensuring alignment with financial plans and identifying any variances.

Cash Flow Management: Track and manage cash flow projections to maintain sufficient liquidity for investments, expenses, and obligations, and to anticipate future funding needs.

Investment Manager Liaison: Interface with external investment managers and advisors to gather performance updates and ensure alignment with the family's investment strategy and objectives.

Financial Close Support: Support monthly and quarterly financial close processes, including reconciling accounts and preparing financial statements or management reports.

Tax & Estate Planning Assistance: Assist with tax and estate planning tasks by organizing financial data, coordinating with tax advisors and estate planners, and supporting compliance documentation requirements.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

Financial Knowledge: Extensive technical financial knowledge with a strong understanding of financial analysis, investment principles, and portfolio management.

Excel Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced spreadsheet modeling and data analysis skills.

Accounting Skills: Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.

Analytical & Organizational Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and professionally.

Experience: No specific certifications or minimum years of experience are required – candidates will be evaluated based on their skills and knowledge (entry-level candidates are welcome).
