Director, Media Suite & WGSU Radio

The Department of Communication is excited to announce an opportunity for a dynamic individual to serve as Director of our FCC-licensed radio station and forthcoming Media Suite. As the Director, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the creative energy of our students to achieve their vision for the station’s programs. Eligible candidates will have a creative, student-focused attitude that supports the curricular and co-curricular goals of the radio station while overseeing its daily operations. The Director will also fulfill an integral role in the development, funding, and future operations of the new Media Suite, which will provide the opportunity to work with the relevant departments on campus (Communication, Facilities, Academic Affairs, College Advancement) to finalize and implement an interdisciplinary vision for the Media Suite and its services.

Required Qualifications :
 

1. Bachelor’s degree completed by hiring date
2. Established record of experience administering a commercial or Noncommercial Educational (NCE) FCC-licensed TV or radio station
3. Ability to train, manage, mentor, and assess student staff and interns
4. Ability to work with College Advancement to assist with major fundraising campaign
5. Demonstrated commitment to the Communication Department’s inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility (IDEA) goals.
