Marketing & Business Development Intern
About Us: ERA Structural Engineering provides full service structural engineering for a broad range of facility types. We think way beyond textbook structural engineering principles to anticipate unforeseen issues before they arise – which saves clients and owners money, time and sometimes viability of the entire project. We think beyond the beam to uncover value in all areas of the project from structural systems and material types to multi- team collaboration and process efficiency. We use this creative problem-solving approach at each step of the project from proposal to ribbon cutting.
Position Overview: We are seeking a proactive, creative and business-savvy Marketing & Business Development Intern to join our marketing and business development team. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to support the development and execution of business development and marketing strategies that promote our brand, highlight our market sector work and projects, and engage our target audiences. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, strong communicators, research-driven and have interest in the Architectural / Engineering / Construction industry. The intern will work closely with the Marketing Director, Marketing Coordinator and some project team members, gaining insight into both creative processes and the technical work that drives our firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Market research and Analysis; the ability to conduct targeted market research to support business development initiatives, including identifying potential clients, industry trends, and competitor insights.
- Support with associate resume/portfolio updating and standardizing formatting
- File Management including but not limited to associate resumes for proposals, formatting/ updating statement of qualification files, Marketing Library organization and management
- CRM data management and support with project research Formatting and updating of Statement of Qualification files
- Content creation for social media, website updates, email campaigns, and marketing collateral
Hours
- May – Aug (can be flexible on start and end date): Part-time non-exempt summer internship at Flexible hours per week
- In – Person Core Office Hours: 9:00am-3:00pm Monday- Thursday
- Friday Flex – 9:00am-12:00pm
Qualifications
- Must be a current student working towards Bachelor’s or Master’s in Communications or Marketing
- Open to Freshman year of studies and above. Successful completion of Intro to Marketing coursework is recommended
- Additional experience with Marketing resources such as Adobe InDesign are preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, word, outlook)
- GPA must be 3.0 or higher
