Communications, Marketing, and Fundraising Intern

Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ – Plymouth, Indiana
Duration: 8–10 weeks | Hours: 20–30/week | Compensation: $14–$17/hr. (EARN Indiana eligible)
Start Date: Mid-May | End Date: Early August

The Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ seek three mission-aligned and creative interns to join the Office for Communication and Philanthropic Initiatives (OCPI) for Summer 2025. These internships provide immersive experience in nonprofit communications, storytelling, digital asset management, and faith-based outreach rooted in justice and service.

🌐 Social Media & Content Intern

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and schedule posts on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube
  • Draft compelling captions and curate mission-aligned content
  • Track engagement analytics and recommend strategy improvements
  • Support content tagging and organization within the Digital Asset Library
  • Assist with blogs, donor highlights, and campaign storytelling

Ideal Candidate:
Fluent in platform trends, strong writer, organized, and enthusiastic about digital storytelling that centers values of equity and inclusion.

🎨 Graphic Design & Multimedia Intern

Responsibilities:

  • Design visual assets for social media, web, print, and fundraising materials
  • Create branded templates and multimedia content (e.g., short videos, motion graphics)
  • Tag and upload creative content to the Digital Asset Library following naming conventions
  • Support visual consistency across PHJC ministries and campaigns
  • Collaborate on photo and video shoots (as needed) for ministry projects

Ideal Candidate:
Proficient in Canva or Adobe Creative Suite, visually creative, organized in managing assets and revisions, committed to storytelling through design.

📣 Public Relations & Outreach Intern

Responsibilities:

  • Draft press releases, media kits, and outreach letters
  • Support event promotions and public-facing communication for ministries
  • Coordinate media outreach lists and archive press coverage
  • Organize and maintain public relations-related content in the Digital Asset Library
  • Assist with capturing and categorizing event photos, testimonials, and partner stories

Ideal Candidate:
Clear communicator, relationship builder, detail-oriented, and eager to support mission-forward outreach in service of faith and justice.
