Wackerlin Center Marketing Intern

Position Title: Wackerlin Center Marketing Intern

 

Position Description: The Wackerlin Center for Faith and Action seeks a motivated and organized student to work as a Wackerlin Center Marketing Intern for the Fall 2025 semester (August 25 - December 13) with the possibility of continuing into Spring 2026 semester. The Wackerlin Center Marketing Intern will report to the Executive Director of the Wackerlin Center. Experience or interest in marketing, communication, or graphic design preferred.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with the Wackerlin Center team to expand outreach to students.
  • Help maintain a content calendar to ensure upcoming events are marketed effectively.
  • Assist with design and creation of print and digital content for various Wackerlin Center channels including Instagram, E-blasts, TV screens, and printed promotional items.
  • Help with Wackerlin Center events; assist as needed including taking photos/video.
  • Assist in managing Wackerlin Center Instagram accounts by creating engaging content to promote services to students.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 The ideal candidate is someone who must be able to:

  • Communicate to students and staff clearly and effectively in person, over the phone, or via email.
  • Demonstrate mature judgment and understanding of sensitive information.
  • Possess critical thinking skills, a strong attention to detail, and a positive attitude.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding accessed information.
  • Eager to learn new skills and utilize creativity.
  • Experience with Instagram and design software a plus.
  • Embody the Wackerlin Center’s mission to promote belonging and flourishing, solidarity and service, and reflection and purpose for students, employees, and campus visitors.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Junior or Senior in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or Graphic Design.
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Experience using Canva, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop a plus.
  • Provide a portfolio and examples of design work and writing samples.

Pay Rate: $15/hr
