Social Media Intern

SUMMARY  
We’re looking for a creative and enthusiastic Social Media Intern to help drive our coworking space’s online presence, build engagement, and attract new members. As a Social Media Intern, you’ll develop and curate content across various social media platforms, interact with our online community, and help grow our brand’s awareness. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in social media marketing within a dynamic coworking environment.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Content Creation and Curation

  • Create and schedule engaging content, including posts, stories, and short-form videos (e.g., Reels and TikToks) for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Design visually appealing graphics using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Assist in writing captions that align with the brand’s voice and communicate our unique offerings.

Community Engagement

  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Engage with followers and actively participate in conversations to build relationships with the community.
  • Interact with relevant local businesses, partners, and influencers to increase reach and engagement.

Content Planning and Strategy  

  • Assist in developing a monthly content calendar that highlights key events, promotions, member features, and coworking benefits.
  • Research trending topics and suggest ideas to keep content fresh and relevant.
  • Identify opportunities to showcase the coworking space’s community, events, and resources in creative ways.

Analytics and Reporting

  • Track social media performance metrics (likes, shares, comments, reach, etc.) and analyze engagement data to identify trends.
  • Provide weekly or monthly reports summarizing performance and suggesting improvements.
  • Test different content types and posting strategies to understand what resonates best with the audience.

Event Promotion and Coverage

  • Support the promotion of community events, workshops, and networking sessions hosted at the coworking space.
  • Attend and capture content during events to highlight on social media channels in real-time or for future posts.
  • Work with the team to highlight key moments and member success stories.

Research and Development

  • Stay up-to-date with social media trends, tools, and best practices in coworking and flexible office space marketing.
  • Conduct research on competitor social media strategies and provide insights for improvement.
  • Bring fresh ideas to the team on how to elevate our social media presence and attract new members.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of social media platforms, especially Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to write in a brand-appropriate tone.
  • Creative mindset with an eye for design; experience with Canva or graphic design tools is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a collaborative setting.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

 

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Previous experience in social media marketing or content creation.
  • Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer) and analytics.
  • Interest in coworking, entrepreneurship, or community-building.
