Specialized Sales Representative

Job Posting: Specialized Sales Representative (Strategic Sales Focus)
Location: Remote
Position Type: Full-Time

Who We Are:
National Training Center (NTC) is a respected leader in training and certification support for the fire protection and low voltage industries. We serve professionals and organizations across the U.S. with a commitment to quality, integrity, and results.

About This Role – It’s Not Typical Sales:
This isn’t a high-pressure, used-car-sales type of job. Instead, it’s a Specialized Sales role focused on larger, long-term sales opportunities. You’ll be the relationship builder—the person who listens, solves problems, and connects NTC’s training solutions with companies’ real needs. If you thrive on structure, precision, and meaningful work, keep reading.

What Makes This Role Specialized?
You’ll manage high-value targets and industry clients, requiring:

  • Strong understanding of industry challenges and terminology
  • Sharp communication skills—spoken and written
  • Strategic thinking and consistent follow-through
  • The ability to build trust over time, not just close a quick sale

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key organizations
  • Drive regular and ongoing sales through trusted partnerships
  • Manage and grow NTC’s Organizational Sales Program (up to 250 target companies)
  • Lead Sponsorship Sales, Direct Ad Sales, and Conference Exhibitor Sales
  • Track and report sales activity and progress to the Director

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Enthusiasm. You bring energy and positivity to your work, and people can feel it.
  • Detail-Orientation. Relationship-based sales require follow-through.
  • Organization. You’ll juggle 250+ accounts—nothing can fall through the cracks.
  • Excellent Communication. You write clear emails and speak with confidence and empathy.
  • Self-Motivation. You have no problem working independently.
  • Maturity. You know when to listen, how to respond, and how to build rapport.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • NICET Certification
  • Previous experience in the fire protection or low-voltage industry
  • Familiarity with the challenges faced by industry professionals

Perks & Benefits:

  • Paid time off
  • Health insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Work from home (yes—even in your pajamas)
