Account Manager
Position Summary
The Account Manager position requires you to provide superior customer service through multiple channels (phone, email, walk-ins, website, etc.). This position is responsible for assisting the sales representatives and being an essential point of contact for our customers. This role is essential in supporting the sales team members as you will be assisting customers directly by generating quotes, speaking with manufacturers and creating reports on behalf of the sales representatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Answer/Transfer phone calls and emails promptly to appropriate parties and delivering detailed messages
· Generate quotes with detailed information, placing orders and maintaining customer profiles within CRM
· Resolve customer issues quickly to retain customer satisfaction and loyalty
· Assist customers within the showroom and process orders on the sales floor as needed
· Process customer payments upon call-in or email
· Exhibit urgency in tracking, troubleshooting and placing customer orders and communicating information
· Follow up with customers on backorders and past sales to add a human element during the sales cycle
· Assist sales representatives with contacting vendors/manufacturers for purchase orders
· Troubleshoot with customers on products and find alternatives
· Assist sales representatives with customer inquiries and follow-ups
· Increase sales by cross-selling, up-selling and promoting marketing campaigns.
· Work as a team to meet sales goals
· Always represent Jendco professionally and positively
· All other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
· Industrial background within B2B Sales preferred
· Experience working in a small to mid-size company
· Ability to work independently within a fast-paced team environment
· Positive attitude and strong work ethic
· Professionalism and ability to work with different personalities
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Docs) at an intermediate to expert level
· Strong time management skills
· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
