HR Intern, Compliance & Systems Support - 2025 - 2026 - stipend position

This stipend eligible position is for the fall 2025 term and/or the 2025 - 2026 school year. Includes a $1500 each term; half paid at mid-point of & remainder paid end of term. The HR Intern is a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Intern to support internal auditing, compliance initiatives, and HR administrative systems development. This role provides valuable hands-on human resources experience in monitoring policy adherence, legal compliance, assisting with audits, and implementing system and process improvements. Duties include:

  • Assist in conducting internal HR audits ensuring compliance with organizational policies and employment law
  • Support the documentation, analysis, and reporting of audit findings
  • Help implement corrective measures based on audit results, working closely with HR leadership to address gaps or non-compliance
  • Aid in the development, documentation, and optimization of HR administrative systems and workflows
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in line with data privacy and regulatory standards
  • Participate in reviewing and updating internal HR policies, procedures, and training resources
  • Collaborate across departments to support a culture of compliance and continuous improvement
  • Other duties as requested

Qualifications:

  • Good written, oral communications and interpersonal skills needed
  • Works well with others and autonomously; respects all cultures, people and work styles
  • Reliable, flexible, detail oriented and open to feedback
  • Organizational, time management and problem-solving skills required along with proficient computer skills
  • Manages multiple priorities and follows a project through to completion
  • Pursuing a degree in human resources, non-profit management, communication, marketing or related field preferred

 

Time Commitment: A human resources training and development focused position for the fall 2025 and/or 2025-2026 school year.  Must be available to intern 10-14 hours per week. Hours are Monday-Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm with occasional evenings as needed.  An exit interview will also be conducted to gauge intern experience and to make recommendations for improvement.
