As our Broadcasting Intern, you'll spend the 2025-2026 NBA Season supporting our Blazers Broadcasting team, operating production equipment, assisting with video production for broadcast, and working closely with one of the only internal Broadcasting teams in the NBA.  

 

About the Internship:

  • Internship Duration: August 26, 2025 to April 24, 2026, with the potential for an extension.
  • Part-time Commitment: Expect to work an average of 28 hours per week.
  • Location: Portland, Oregon; this is an on-site role, not remote.
  • Industry: Dive into the dynamic world of Sports & Entertainment, gaining exclusive behind-the-scenes insights into what it truly means to be part of the team behind the team.

 

 As our Broadcasting Intern, you will:

  • Assist in the overall production of broadcasting, including post-production work and pre-production for video projects.
  • Operate various production equipment including but not limited to cameras, lighting equipment, and microphones for on-site and remote production.
  • Edit projects as needed and requested by broadcast team.
  • Support Producers with stat research and printing and distributing game day paperwork.
  • Manage video archive and file requests.
  • Act as a production assistant with television shoots.
  • Locate sponsorship inventory and transfer assets for broadcast use.
  • Work all Trail Blazers games, including time spent in the High Post control room and TV truck.
  • Provide general support to the Venue Operations team and organization as needed.

  • Are at least 18 years of age.
  • Are in the process of or have recently obtained a degree in Art Media, Radio/TV/Film, Design, Advertising, or a related degree with applicable transferable skills.
  • Have a solid understanding of Adobe Software Suite, especially Premiere and Photoshop.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of broadcasting and production equipment.
  • Can move around campus and events, bend, reach, and lift materials that are 20-50lbs.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively as a team with people with a diverse set of backgrounds and abilities.
  • Can prioritize multiple projects and deadlines and are organized with an attention to detail.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and exercise discretion when working with sensitive or proprietary information.
  • Are available to work a flexible schedule, which could include office hours, Trail Blazers home games, and evening/weekend responsibilities.
