We’re seeking a confident and hands-on Production Trainer to lead training and development within our cleanroom compounding team. This role is responsible for assigning, conducting, and tracking training activities—ensuring every technician is equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to meet our high standards for safety, accuracy, and compliance. While cleanroom or lab experience is not required, the ideal candidate holds a PhD in a scientific field and has a passion for structure, quality, and guiding others toward excellence.
The Production Trainer is actively engaged on the production floor, observing daily practices, providing real-time coaching, and making sure all training is properly completed, documented, and coordinated with the Quality Team. Key Responsibilities
Training Oversight & Workforce Development
- Assign and oversee all required training for cleanroom technicians.
- Conduct hands-on training sessions and retraining when needed.
- Monitor training completion and proactively address gaps in compliance or performance.
- Provide real-time coaching and feedback during cleanroom operations.
- Set clear expectations for GMP compliance and aseptic technique.
- Identify training needs and partner with Production and Quality leaders to resolve them quickly.
Training Documentation & Coordination
- Ensure all technicians sign off on completed training forms and documentation.
- Organize and maintain all training records in an audit-ready state.
- Coordinate regularly with the Quality Team to ensure training files are current and properly stored.
- Track qualifications, retraining, and any employee-specific training plans using internal systems.
- Prepare training documentation in support of audits, inspections, and internal reviews.
Training Program Development & Documentation
- Maintain and continuously improve training materials, SOPs, checklists, and assessments.
- Customize training plans for employees returning from leave or identified for retraining.
- Track all completed training, qualifications, and retraining activities using internal documentation systems.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure training procedures are audit-ready at all times.
Cross-Department Collaboration
- Work closely with Production Supervisors to coordinate training timelines and ensure seamless workflow integration.
- Communicate clearly with QA, HR, and Compliance teams to report training progress and any performance concerns.
- Partner with HR during onboarding and performance evaluations to support employee development goals.
- Provide input on employee performance, attitude, and competency from a training perspective.
Qualifications
- PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field (required).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coach and correct in a professional manner.
- Prior experience leading or facilitating training is strongly preferred.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a commitment to compliance.
- Cleanroom or lab experience is not required, but a strong work ethic and passion for quality are essential.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to stand for extended periods during training sessions and production floor observation.
- Must be comfortable working in a Cleanroom Environment.
- May require wearing full cleanroom PPE, including gowns, gloves, masks, and goggles.
- Ability to perform hands-on demonstrations and lift up to 25 lbs when assisting with cleanroom training activities.
