Licensed Veterinary Technician

The Animal Center LI of Huntington is looking for Licensed Veterinary Technicians to join our team. Unlicensed candidates with extensive experience will be considered. Our ideal candidate is organized, works well in a fast paced environment, is goal oriented, and works well with others. Part time hours are available. Please respond with your resume. Job Functions and Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

-Ability to draw blood and place catheters

- Familiar with radiology technique, positioning and sonogram.

-Administration of intravenous drugs and anesthetic agents-Monitoring of all patients and able to identify medical emergencies.

-Ability to assist in surgery and monitor anesthesia

-Maintain cleanliness in the kennel, prep room and surgery areas; stocking as needed.

-Perform dental procedures

-Basic understanding or the ability to learn Avimark

License eligible candidates will also be considered.

Weekends and Wednesday are a must
