## Program Overview

The Voice Up Remote Research & Purpose Fellowship is a 100% remote, 100% flexible internship opportunity designed to support Voice Up's mission of connecting people to purpose while establishing a research foundation for the organization's global initiatives, including the "Make The Difference" quarterly publication.

This fellowship specifically targets talented individuals passionate about making a meaningful impact in underserved communities through research, creative expression, and purpose-driven collaboration.

## Core Focus Areas

1. **Consciousness & Purpose Research Initiative**
  * Lead research projects exploring the meta-theory of consciousness
  * Develop methodologies to help individuals discover their unique purpose
  * Connect traditional psychological approaches with cross-cultural understandings of self and consciousness

2. **Global Publication Support**
  * Contribute research-based content to the "Make The Difference" quarterly publication
  * Design methodologies to measure the impact of purpose-driven stories
  * Develop frameworks for translating personal narratives into actionable community insights

3. **Educational Outreach**
  * Create research-backed tools for schools and community organizations in underserved areas
  * Develop methods to help youth "internalize their faculty of wonder"
  * Support the CHESS (Connecting Higher Emotional Steps to Success) project with research-based frameworks

4. **Mental Health Innovation**
  * Research culturally-relevant approaches to mental health support
  * Develop assessment tools for measuring mental wellness in diverse populations
  * Create evidence-based resources for the "My Health" section of the publication

## Program Structure

### Participation Options
Fellows can choose from three tracks, aligned with Voice Up's existing structure:

1. **Volunteer Track:** 5-10 hours weekly, perfect for those with other commitments who want to contribute their talents
2. **Academic Credit:** Earn university credit while developing research projects
3. **Paid Fellowship:** $500-$750 monthly stipend for selected candidates with strong project proposals (3-4 month commitment)

All fellows have the opportunity to progress toward a paid stipend as their ideas develop, with potential advancement to independent contractor status ($20-$30/hour for up to 15 hours/week).

### Core Components

**Weekly Collaboration Sessions**
* Saturday research meetings with global team members
* One-on-one mentoring with Voice Up leaders
* Small group collaboration on specialized projects

**Research Development**
* Design and implement original research projects
* Analyze data to inform Voice Up initiatives
* Develop methodologies for assessing program impacts

**Content Creation**
* Contribute evidence-based articles to "Make The Difference"
* Develop research summaries for community implementation
* Create assessment tools and practical frameworks

**Community Engagement**
* Connect with global Voice Up teams in India, Nigeria, and beyond
* Support outreach to underserved communities
* Facilitate workshops and training sessions remotely

## Ideal Candidate Profile

We seek purpose-driven individuals with:
* Research background in psychology, education, public health, or related fields

## Application Process
