Yale Neurology Post Graduate Clinical Research Associate-Magid-Bernstein/Giles Lab
Dr. Jessica Magid-Bernstein (Yale Division of Neurology Critical Care) and Dr. James Giles (Yale Division of Stroke Neurology) are recruiting a research associate to join their group for a one or two year position starting July or August 2025. Their research focuses on ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, and they are recruiting a research associate who is interested in working with both investigators on projects involving transcriptomics.
Primary roles of research associate will include:
• Assisting with the collection, processing, and analysis of biological samples using single cell RNA sequencing techniques.
• Involvement in ongoing clinical research projects, including data collection and analysis, grant writing, abstract and manuscript preparation, and opportunities to present at conferences.
Research associates will gain clinical experience by interacting with critically ill patients in the Neurosciences ICU and on the Stroke Neurology service and working collaboratively with the medical team. You are welcome and encouraged to attend department conferences, lectures, and rounds. Our program has a strong record of preparing our associates for medical school and beyond.
The ideal candidates should be highly motivated, have a strong academic record, an interest in the neurosciences, and skills in lab work and data analysis. Applications will be reviewed on a first come, first serve basis and strong candidates will be invited to interview
