Somatic Instructor
Job Summary:
Somatic Instructor is responsible for teaching a variety of classes. Instructional programs are for both adults and youth from novice to experienced rowers.
Classes most frequently occur from 6am to 10am and 3pm to 8pm on weekdays and 9am to 12pm on weekends. Schedules may vary.
Somatic Instructor will work directly with the site Managers, Shift Supervisors, and Instructors.
Desired Skills & Knowledge:
We only as that you have a passion to teach. Everything else will be taught to you.
Ability to speak to a large group with confidence and enthusiasm
Effective teaching and communication skills
Desire to share passion for rowing
Previous experience as a rower or coxswain, not required
Ability to memorize facts and routines
First Aid & CPR Certified preferred
Physical & Mental Requirements:
Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the unit.
Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
Lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 25 lbs. regularly, 30-35 lbs. frequently, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
Ability to stand for the entire workday.
Climbing steps regularly.
Proficient in speaking, reading and writing in English.
Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of customers and co-workers and the ability to speak clearly so that you can be understood by customers and co-workers in English.
Physical presence at the job site is essential to perform job duties.
