POSTION SUMMARY
Workforce Professionals Training Institute (WPTI) is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Training Design Intern to support the development and enhancement of PowerPoint slide decks used in our training programs and consulting engagements. The intern will work closely with our training team to design new presentations and update existing ones to ensure clarity, visual appeal, and alignment with WPTI’s brand identity.
This is a great opportunity for students interested in design, adult learning, or workforce development to build a professional portfolio while contributing to social impact work.
KEY | ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design visually engaging PowerPoint presentations to support workforce development trainings.
- Update and improve the layout, formatting, and design of existing slide decks.
- Translate training content into clear, audience-friendly visual formats.
- Ensure all presentations adhere to WPTI’s visual brand guidelines and accessibility standards.
- Collaborate with training staff to understand content, objectives, and audience needs.
- Incorporate feedback and iterate on drafts in a timely and responsive manner.
CANDIDATE PROFILE | COMPETENCIES | PERSONAL QUALITIES
Required:
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Slides.
- Strong visual design skills with an eye for layout, color, and typography
- Ability to distill complex content into visually compelling slides.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with adult learning principles or instructional design.
- Interest in workforce development, social impact, or public service.
- Experience with Canva is a plus.

- Creative, curious, and open to feedback.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
