Sales Engineer Intern
Position Summary
The Part-Time Sales Engineer role offers valuable real-world experience by supporting both inside sales activities and field sales efforts within the electronics manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will engage directly with customers in Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, and San Diego counties—providing technical product guidance, conducting product demonstrations and services, offering in-person support, and helping to identify new sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities

Territory Support & Sales Growth
- Visit customers within the territory to support sales initiatives and product promotion.
- Develop strong relationships with end users to drive brand visibility and sales growth.
- Work with local distributor field sales personnel

Technical Support & Product Consultation
- Provide ESD product guidance and basic technical support during field visits.
- Help customers identify suitable solutions based on application needs and industry best practices.

Sales Opportunity Development
- Generate leads during customer visits by identifying new project needs and pain points.
- Share sales activity and customer interactions with the SCS Sales Team.
- Support the quoting process by gathering necessary customer information and communicating with the internal sales team.

Customer Engagement & Follow-Up
- Follow up on samples, quotes, and known opportunities in collaboration with the inside sales team.
- Follow up includes phone calls, emails, and visits.
Qualifications & Skills
- Current college student pursuing a degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Strong interest in technical sales and customer engagement
- Professional communication skills and a willingness to engage directly with customers in person.
- Self-starter with strong time management and follow-up capabilities.
- Must be able to travel within the assigned territory on a part-time basis (1–2 days per week, flexible to accommodate class schedule).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and auto insurance.
- Reliable access to a personal vehicle; mileage reimbursement provided by the company.
