Racquet Club of Irvine – Food & Beverage Manager

Reports To: General Manager

Job Summary: The Racquet Club of Irvine is becoming a premier tennis club in Orange County and the greater Southern California area. We encourage a healthy work/life balance and offer a fun environment for employees and members alike.

We are in the process of renovating all our facilities with state-of-the-art equipment, newly resurfaced courts from the ground up, and a new bar/restaurant and clubhouse. We are hiring a food & beverage manager that will assist with creating the exciting new era at the Racquet Club of Irvine with a great food and beverage experience for our members and guests. The F&B manager will be responsible for all the food and beverage operations, which include all culinary, restaurant, beverage, kitchen, service, and facility operations. A unique part of this position is that the new F&B manager will provide input into designing the menu as well as assist with hiring the team and building out the bar/restaurant software (Toast). We’re looking for people who will encourage one another, who are customer service oriented, and who will create a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for our members, guests, and staff. 

Job Description: 

To run the operations of the Racquet Club of Irvine Bar, Restaurant, and Snack Bar. We’re looking for a food and beverage manager that will exceed the expectations of our members and guests with friendliness and customer service as they enjoy a quality F&B experience. The F&B manager must know and adhere to all the applicable food and beverage laws and regulations, develop and implement the budget and business plan, and hire the F&B team.

Job Duties 

  • Develop and implement a food and beverage strategy that aligns with the Racquet Club of Irvine vision and culture.
  • Oversee menu development that includes appropriate items, creativity, cost control, and quality.
  • Hire, lead, and mentor a team of culinary service professionals.
  • Create positive vendor relationships and negotiate favorable terms on vendor contracts. 
  • Analyze financial performance: revenue, expenses, profit, and future profitability goals. 
  • Implement training programs to elevate service standards for our members and guests. 
  • Collaborate with all departments, especially for marketing and promoting food and beverage offerings. 
  • Consistently provide excellent customer service and perform duties in a manner that will retain and attract members. 
  • Present a professional, positive image and appearance that reflects well on the organization.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in food and beverage management or a related field 
  • Strong understanding of culinary and food service standards 
  • Focus on guest and staff satisfaction
  • Proficient skills in budget management and financial reporting
  • Leadership and team-building skills 

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or related field
  • Experience in high-volume, luxury dining, and/or private club environment
  • Certifications in food safety and alcohol service
