Leasing Specialist

LV Property Management is seeking a full-time Leasing Specialist in Waukesha, WI! 

Overview: The Leasing Specialist will partner with the Property Manager and maintenance staff on leasing, resident relations, applications, and day-to-day operational management at our Monterey Apartments in Waukesha. Pay: $17-20/hr. + commissions + generous bonuses + affordable benefits!

Location: Monterey Apartments - 2725 N University Dr, Waukesha, WI 53188

Schedule: Full time, 40 hours per week. 3 Saturdays per month are required!
 

Responsibilities:

  • Warmly greet visitors, prospective renters, and current residents addressing questions, concerns, and complaints.
  • Provide potential residents with collateral, information, and tours of facilities and available units.
  • Consult with prospective residents to identify requirements and budgets, then match these needs with available units.
  • Ensure available and model apartments are fresh and tidy.
  • Perform all steps in the leasing process, including credit checks, background screenings, landlord verifications, collection of application fees, and security deposit.
  • Maintain a successful closing ratio consistent with industry standards.
  • Follow-up with potential leads.
  • Review the ILS listings and post internet ads for the community.
  • Tour property daily to ensure it is neat, tidy, attractive, and in good repair.
  • Complete market surveys and maintain up-to-date reports.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract renters and build community with residents.
  • Record and update details of perspective and existing residents in software system.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
     

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Customer service experience required.
  • Previous experience in sales, hospitality, or real estate preferred.
  • Outgoing, friendly attitude, and ability to make others feel welcomed and comfortable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong sales and customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multi-task and problem solve.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, and climb stairs and use his/her hands.  The employee must lift and/or carry up to 10 lbs.  The specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.  Must be able to travel by auto and operate a motor vehicle.
