Medical Content Development Summer Intern

We’re looking for a pre-med undergraduate student (Junior or Senior level) who is detail-oriented and passionate about medical education to be a part of our Medical Content Development team. 

You will primarily support our Question Bank and Test Preparation initiatives, helping ensure the accuracy, clarity, and consistency of our assessment content. You'll play a key role in quality assurance, content refinement, and usability testing, gaining hands-on experience in medical education technology.

Responsibilities

  • Review and edit multiple-choice questions and test prep content for clarity, accuracy, and alignment with SonoSim standards
     
  • Perform quality assurance (QA) on question formatting, logic, and performance in the Learning Management System (LMS)
     
  • Standardize question content according to education best practices and guidelines
     
  • Assist in integrating assessment content into our Content Management System (CMS)
     
  • Conduct front-end testing of user-facing interfaces for test delivery and reporting
     
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with instructional designers, medical writers, and product managers
     
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to other projects as needed


     

Key Qualifications

  • Junior or Senior undergraduate student on a Pre-Med or related science track
     
  • Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology
     
  • Excellent written communication and editing skills
     
  • High attention to detail and ability to follow complex editorial and QA procedures
     
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and comprehension skills
     
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
     
  • Comfortable with technology platforms and web-based tools

 

Hours and Work Location

This is a hybrid role with some work that can be done remotely and some that will occur in SonoSim’s office located at 606 Venice Blvd. in Los Angeles. 

We are looking for 10-20 hours per week. The rate of pay is $18 per hour.

The start date and end dates are flexible.
