FSQA Testing Specialist

Jetro Restaurant Depot FSQA Testing Specialist 
We are seeking an experienced FSQA Testing Specialist to join our expanding Food Safety and Quality Assurance 
(FSQA) team at our East Coast Headquarters. This role will focus on collaborating with third-party labs and 
evaluating product results to ensure quality standards are met.
Responsibilities:
• Continuing to develop an internal testing strategy, while prioritizing a proficient schedule. 
• Allocate scheduling for all products, branded and JRD private label alike.
• Manage testing based on complaints, food safety risks, import alerts, new vendor products and/or high 
receiving cost. 
• Collaborate cross-departmentally to confirm and define product testing criteria for development or update 
to internal private label specifications.
• Manage procurement, analysis, and final evaluation of product quality, for specification alignment and 
regulatory conformity.
• Effectively manage communication with third party laboratories, inspection companies and internal 
stakeholders on result interpretation, result comparisons, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and next 
steps. 
• Work closely with buying teams to conduct internal product quality evaluations and post RFP (Request for 
Proposal) product testing.
• Develop and implement testing training tools, data collection systems, and support national testing 
strategies.
Expectations:
• Technical expertise in food and non-food product testing methodologies (a plus).
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to completion.
• Efficiently handle a high volume of reports and continuously improve compliance verification, monitoring 
processes and internal escalation. 
• Directly support and manage tracking of key metrics.
• Provide support to achieve FSQA department goals.
Experience & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in food science or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in food safety, quality control, or the import industry (preferred).
• Working knowledge of HACCP, product control, as well as general food safety requirements.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to high professional 
ethical standards.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to work independently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal buying, accounts
