We are looking for a dynamic and customer-focused Inside Technical Salesperson to join our team in the industrial knife division. This role offers the opportunity to provide valuable support both before and after the sale by sharing expert guidance on custom industrial machine knives and ensuring a great customer experience through proactive communication on quality, delivery, and materials. All tasks are done with the intention of driving sales growth through excellent customer service to develop long-term relationships with our customers. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a problem-solving mindset, and be detail oriented.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop a strong understanding and working knowledge of the industries we serve and the products we make. This includes solid knowledge of materials and our capabilities.
- Write accurate quotes after identifying customer needs related to specifications, price, and delivery.
- Accurate order write-ups.
- Understand and promote company products and services to potential and existing customers to increase sales revenue.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships by identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate solutions.
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email, providing timely and accurate information.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.
- Work closely with the department supervisors, costing, and engineering teams to address complex projects.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, sales activities, and service issues in HUBSPOT.
- Provide after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Actively participate in weekly production and sales meetings to discuss issues related to delivery, quality, and materials with department supervisors.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in business (preferred; not required)
- 1-3 years of experience in technical sales, customer service, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of technical products and solutions relevant to the industry preferred.
- Excellent professional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Experience using HUBSPOT preferred and/or other sales/customer service tools.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive attitude.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously
