HR Intern - Onsite

What you will accomplish as an HR Intern at TAPCO:

The Human Resources Intern at TAPCO will play a crucial role in supporting the HR department's daily operations within the retail trade industry. This position is designed to provide hands-on experience in various HR functions, including recruitment, employee onboarding, and performance management. The intern will assist in maintaining employee records and ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws. By collaborating with HR professionals, the intern will gain valuable insights into workforce management and organizational development. Ultimately, this role aims to foster a positive workplace culture while enhancing the intern's understanding of human resources practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Support the onboarding process for new employees, including preparing orientation materials and conducting initial training sessions.
  • Maintain and update employee records in the HR database, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Help organize employee engagement activities and training programs to promote a positive work environment.
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives, providing administrative support and contributing ideas for improvement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous internship or work experience in a human resources or administrative role.
  • Familiarity with HR software and databases.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
  • Experience with social media platforms for recruitment purposes.
  • Interest in pursuing a career in human resources or talent management.
