Camp Stars Children Staff
Each Children Staff position will be responsible for building relationships with children for them to thrive in a fun and nurturing environment during the camp day. Camp Stars Summer Camp will serve children in rising 1st through 6th grade.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement a Restorative and Social Emotional Learning centered environment for 20 children who rotate through center learning throughout the camp day.
- Provide oversight and learning facilitation for children in the center’s activities
- Understand and facilitate restorative practices in center time
- Help Clean and organize center space before and after each day’s camp
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Highschool diploma or equivalent (College is a plus)
- Experience working with children in a structured, learning environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with children and families
- Excellent team player
Working Conditions
- Full-time hourly seasonal position. Summer Monday-Friday 8:00 – 5:00.
- June 9 - July 25
- Active, children centric environment with physical activities like bending, lifting, and playing.
- Innovative and Creative work environment caring for children while fostering a safe and nurturing space for children to learn and grow
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting salary $18/hour
- Juneteenth and July 4th holidays
- Housing available if needed
