Membership Strategy & Development Intern - Summer 2025
About this Job
The Global Business Alliance (GBA) is seeking an undergraduate or graduate student interested in business, nonprofit management, marketing or related careers for its Summer 2025 Business Development & Membership Internship. The internship is an excellent way for inquisitive students interested in association management, development and membership relations to gain valuable experience while advancing their educational pursuits.
GBA currently operates with a hybrid telecommuting and in-person work model so being based in the Washington DC area is required for in-person work.
Responsibilities
- Assist Membership Team with strategic business development campaigns and related research
- Update membership data in Salesforce, our customer relationship management (CRM) platform
- Complete prospective member research on companies and specific individual contacts
- Generate reports and analyze current and prospective member data
Timeframe and Compensation
Spring/Summer 2025 (June-Aug)
up to 30 hours per week, in-person option Mon/Tue/Wed, remote Thu/Fri
$17.50 per hour; increase to $17.95/hour on July 1
Requirements
Must be a college junior, senior, graduate student, or recent graduate with excellent research and writing skills and experience with Microsoft Office products. Association management software skills, particularly experience using Salesforce, are a plus! Prior DC-based intern experience preferred. This is a partially remote position; you will be provided a GBA laptop for working remotely but will be required to be able to work in the GBA office on Monday, Tuesday and/or Wednesday.
