
Legal Clerk
The Law Offices of Jim Burnham, a State and Federal criminal defense practice, seeks a motivated future law student to work with the attorney.
Legal Clerk will have an opportunity to gain experience directly with the attorney and a wide range of cases. Legal Clerk will draft correspondence and reports pertaining to cases, writing skills are an advantage, organize cases for trial, maintain client case files and materials, and assist in strategic defense for client cases.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: answering calls, interaction with clients, legal assistants, attorneys and court personnel; legal research; drafting of letters, correspondence, motions and other pleadings, scanning documents and filing same with the Courts; setting up files, filing, organizing, and other administrative task.
This is an excellent opportunity to learn how a small, successful law office operates. Scheduling is flexible for class schedules and exams.
