
Media Director Intern
About the role:
We are seeking a Media Director Intern who play a vital role in capturing and managing media content during our red carpet events. This is an on-call, event-based internship, requiring flexibility and availability during scheduled events in the Atlanta area. The intern will assist in coordinating media operations, ensuring smooth workflow, and contributing to the creation of engaging content.
Responsibilities:
On-Site Media Management:
- Assist in setting up and managing media areas during red carpet events.
- Coordinate with photographers, videographers, and other media personnel.
- Ensure timely capture and delivery of high-quality photos and videos.
- Troubleshoot technical issues that may arise during events.
Content Coordination:
- Assist in organizing and cataloging media assets (photos, videos).
- Support the creation of social media content, including live updates and post-event highlights.
- Assist in the distribution of media materials to relevant parties.
Guest Management:
- Assist in managing media guest lists and check-in processes.
- Facilitate interviews and photo opportunities for VIP guests and media outlets.
- Provide excellent customer service to all media attendees.
Logistics and Coordination:
- Assist in the preparation and breakdown of event media areas.
- Maintain organized records of media contacts and event coverage.
- Assist in other related duties as assigned by the Media Director or event producers.
On-Call Availability:
- Be available on short notice for event assignments in the Atlanta area.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing event schedules.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in media production, film, communications, journalism, or a related field.
- Strong interest in the entertainment and event production industry.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in basic media equipment and software (cameras, audio recorders, editing software is a plus).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a professional demeanor.
- Must have reliable transportation within the Atlanta, GA area.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with social media management and content creation.
- Familiarity with photography and videography principles.
- Previous experience in event production or media coordination.
