Marketing & Content Intern

June 1, 2025 through July 31, 2025 

8-12 hours per week for 6 weeks; Stipend provided 

Must be located in Salt Lake Valley


 

Utah Film Center is seeking a passionate and creative Marketing & Content Intern to join our dynamic team this summer. This internship is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in digital marketing, build your content creation skills, grow your portfolio with work for a respected arts nonprofit, get behind-the-scenes access to our events, and receive mentorship from experienced professionals. As our Marketing and Content Intern, you’ll play a key role in connecting with audiences and exposing the community to new ideas through film.


 

The ideal candidate is organized, creative, adaptable, and humble. The ideal candidate also has a strong eye for visual storytelling, composition, and engaging social media aesthetics. Ability to work Friday evenings for event coverage is a must.


 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Experience creating photo and video content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and/or YouTube
  • Comfortability with speaking in front of a camera and interacting with event attendees
  • Familiarity with current social media trends and best practices
  • Proficiency in content design and editing tools
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Passion for film, arts, and community engagement is a plus


 

Primary Responsibilities:


 

  • Support in grassroots marketing and outreach efforts such as street teaming and flyer distribution
  • Attend Utah Film Center events to capture live social media content including photos, videos, audience interviews, and behind-the-scenes moments
  • Post content live during in-person events
  • Collaborate with the Social Media & Content Marketing Manager on strategy, content planning, and creative execution
  • Assist in creating short-form video content (e.g., Reels, TikToks, Instagram Stories)

 

This position reports to the Marketing Director and will be treated as a fully integrated member of our dynamic team. Our marketing team thrives on trust, positivity, collaboration, and appreciation for the unique perspective and skills of each team member.
