
Workday Reporting Analyst
The Workday Reporting Analyst is responsible for supporting the Human Resources team by managing and optimizing Workday reports while providing meaningful insights through data analysis. This role focuses on day-to-day report generation, improving reporting efficiencies, and supporting the delivery of data-driven recommendations to support HR decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Workday Report Management & Optimization
- Develop, maintain, and distribute custom and standard Workday reports to support HR and business users.
- Continuously review and enhance existing reports to improve efficiency, usability, and accuracy.
- Organize and catalog reports, ensuring clear documentation and accessibility for stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot reporting issues and proactively recommend improvements.
- Data Accuracy, Efficiency & Process Improvement
- Ensure data integrity by validating report results and collaborating with HRIS and HR teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Streamline report creation and distribution to enhance efficiency in HR operations.
- Support automation initiatives and best practices for report organization to reduce manual effort.
- Analytics & Insights
- Partner with HR stakeholders to translate business questions into data-driven insights and reporting to support actionable recommendations.
- Assist in creating dashboards to organize data, enhance storytelling and facilitate better decision-making.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- 1–3 years of experience with Workday reporting tools (Advanced, Matrix, Composite, and Dashboards preferred).
- Strong skills in report building, data validation, and troubleshooting within Workday.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple reports efficiently.
- Ability to collaborate with HR, HRIS, and business stakeholders to understand reporting needs.
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas) for additional data analysis.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data trends and present findings clearly.
- Experience with Workday Calculated Fields
Preferred:
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) for enhanced reporting.
- Basic understanding of HR processes and metrics to provide meaningful insights.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to improving reporting efficiencies.

Compensation:
The base pay range for this position is:
$59,000 to $82,000
Many factors influence the determination of base pay within a range, including the candidate’s work experience in related roles; the candidate’s knowledge, skills, capabilities, and performance; the relative pay of other DigiKey employees in similar roles; and the budget available for the position.
